Famous Dragons All Over the World

Dragons are so famous that people use them in art, literature, music, movies and many more.  We recognize and appreciate them because of their appearances and illustrations in various materials. Below are well-known dragons because of the roles they played while some because of special and extraordinary powers and features they possess

§ Ancalagon the Black - the most powerful dragon based on J. R. R. Tolkien's "Middle Earth".
§ Apophis / Apep - is a serpent-like dragon in Egyptian mythology.  Everyday it tries to seize and destroy Ra the sun god.
§ Azhi Dahaki - is a three-headed, six-eyed Persian dragon created by Angra Mainyu to take justice from the world.  He is set to destroy the blessed flame "The Divine Glory".
§ Brinsop Dragon - a British dragon that existed in a well in Duck's Pool Meadow in Brinsop.  Several people claim that it was slay by Saint George, a local knight.
§ Chrysophylax - from J. R. R. Tolkien's "Father Giles of Ham".
§ Custard - the dragon from 'The Tale of Custard the Dragon" by Ogden Nash.  Custard the dragon is well-known for being a coward.
§ Devon and Cornwall - a two-headed dragon from the "Quest for Camelot"
§ Draco - is the last dragon from the movie "Dragonheart"
§ Elliot - he is the invisible dragon in the movie "Pete's Dragon".
§ Fafnir - in German mythology is a dwarf that was transformed into a dragon because of greediness after taking his father's treasure.
