Famous Dragons
§ Falkor - from the movie "The Neverending Story". Dubbed as the "Lucky Dragon"
§ Glaurung - famous as the "The Deceiver", is a fire-breathing dragon in "Middle Earth" of J. R. R. Tolkien.
§ Ladon - is the protector of Hera's golden apple tree Hesperidas in Greek mythology. He was killed by Hercules after trying to steal apples in one of his assignments.
§ Lung - is the celestial Chinese dragon.
§ Norbert - is the baby dragon of Hagrid from the movie Harry Potter.
§ Ouroboros - in Greek and Norse mythology is the dragon that bites its tail as well as others.
§ Peluda - an ancient French dragon who stayed alive in spite of being banned from the ark. Peluda breathes fire and spit out acid.
§ Romanian Longhorn - from one of the Harry Potter sequels. It has an elongated golden horn and scales that are dark green in color.
§ Ryujin - in Japanese mythology is the god of the sea.
§ Saphira - the blue dragon of Eragon in "Inheritance" trilogy by Christopher Paolini.
§ Shen Lung - is the good luck dragon of the Chinese. Also known as the "Spiritual Dragon" celebrated in New Year festivity.
§ Typhon - in Greek mythology is the son of Gaia and Tartarus. He was famous for having a hundred serpent heads and a tongue of fire.
§ Yofune-Nushi - is the Japanese dragon that yearns for a female human flesh. It also requires that a maiden be sacrificed every year.
§ Zu - a primeval dragon in Sumerian myth. It is believed that Zu stole the Tablets of Law and made threats to bring anarchy to the world.
